Race Develops for State Convention Delegates on May Primary Ballot

Marshall County voters will have a chance to narrow down the Republican candidates for State Convention Delegate as a race has formed for the May Primary Election.

Marshall County Clerk Deb VanDeMark said there were 15 Republican candidates who filed for 14 available spots.  Those candidates include Russell Ed Allyn, Jesse Bohannon, Nelson Chipman, Adam Faulstitch, Jack L. Garner, David R. Holmes, Kevin Keifer, Richard Lokun II, Kenneth H. Lukenbill, Kevin Overmyer, Matt E. Sarber, Sam Schlosser, Sean Surrisi, Daniel L. Tyree, and Deborah VanDeMark.

Only nine Democratic candidates filed for State Convention Delegate spots.  There is no contested race there, but the candidates will be placed on the ballot.

The Precinct Committeeman candidates will not appear on the Primary Election ballot as there are no races. Those candidates will automatically win that position.  The Marshall County Election Board will need to approve a resolution to that effect in a future meeting.
