Plymouth School Board Considers Resolution to Void Checks

The Plymouth Community School Board members considered a resolution on Tuesday night to void several checks.

Business Manager and Treasurer Kandi Tinkey said Indiana code allows that any checks drawn on public funds that are two years old or older and that have not been cashed are void.  The funds would be receipted back into the fund of origination.

The resolution states that officials have attempted to contact the individuals intended to receive the checks with no response.

In all, 24 checks from 2017 and one from 2015 totaling $785.25 are void.

The resolution passed with a unanimous vote.
