The Plymouth Redevelopment Commission members were updated on the upcoming Hoham Drive and Pioneer Drive projects.
City Engineer Rick Gaul explained that the contracts have been submitted to INDOT for the Hoham Drive project. The city and members of the Lochmueller Group continue to work with NIPSCO officials on the location of a detention pond on NIPSCO’s property. Gaul said the original plans had the detention pond on the property’s front yard, but now officials are attempting to relocate it to behind the switch station.
Gaul explained, “The right-of-entry has already been submitted to them and basically we’re trying to figure out where that is going so when they go in to drill they can drill in the right place.”
He added that it would result in a single mobilization cost which will save the city money.
As for the Pioneer Drive project, the drainage and ditch designs are being finalized. Once that is done, the engineers will be able to determine which dates they can be on site to see what utility relocations need to be done.
