The Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety members are anticipated to award quotes for two street department trucks and three police department vehicles when they meet tonight. Bids were opened for those purchases during their Feb. 10 meeting.
In other business, the board members will consider a sidewalk request, several requests for work in the right-of-way, and a street closure for the 2020 art festival. The board members will also hold discussion surrounding the 2020 dispatch payment.
The Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety will meet at 6 p.m. tonight followed by the Plymouth City Council meeting at 6:30 p.m.
Plymouth Mayor Mark Senter will deliver his State of the City address followed by a public hearing concerning a tax abatement for Zentis North America, LLC.
The city council members will consider an ordinance authorizing the City to use its taxable economic development revenue bonds of 2020 for the Centennial Crossings project. The council will also consider a resolution that confirms the adoption of a declaratory resolution designating certain real estate to be an Economic Revitalization Area for the purposes of real property and personal property tax abatement for Zentis North America, LLC.
Both meetings will be held in the Council Chambers room on the second floor of the Plymouth City Building at 124 N. Michigan Street in Plymouth. Those planning to attend the meeting should use the Garro Street entrance.
