Preliminary membership numbers at the Marshall County Historical Society show over 400 members.
Board President Mike Miley shared some of the statistics behind the numbers.
“We’ve got 57 out-of-state members and several out-of-county members,” stated Miley. “As you can imagine, the biggest share of the membership comes from Plymouth and that’s something we want to work on. We’ve kind of targeted the different communities. For example, we’ve got 21 members in Argos. I think we can do better. In Bourbon, we’ve got 16.”
Miley highlighted several posts on Facebook that share essays of Marshall County students in 1904 that were sent to the St. Louis World’s Fair that year.
He mentioned that there are many other exhibits and pieces of history from every corner of Marshall County available to those who visit the Museum and who sign up with a membership.
