A Knox man was arrested late Saturday night after police reportedly found drugs in his vehicle during a traffic stop.
According to a report from the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department, a deputy conducted a traffic stop in the area of 13th Road and Queen Road in Marshall County where the officer reportedly found drugs inside the vehicle. Police also noted that an infant was in the vehicle at the time of the traffic stop.
Police say the driver, 36-year-old Denny Raska, was allegedly under the influence of a controlled substance and was taken to the St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Plymouth for a certified test. He was later taken to the Marshall County Jail where he was booked on preliminary charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated on the second and subsequent charge with the last seven years, operating a vehicle while intoxicated controlled substance, and possession of marijuana.
Suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
