Long-time Swim Coach Leanne Senter was recognized this week after coaching her final swim meet at the Dr. Susan Bardwell Aquatic Center in Plymouth.
Her last meet was against the Knox swim team. She started at Knox were she coached for 10 years and transitioned to Plymouth where she coached there for about 20 years.
She will serve as the director of the Aquatic Center. An operator of the facility is still being sought.
Mayor Mark Senter told the Plymouth Redevelopment Commission member Tuesday night that the pool was renamed the “Leanne Senter Pool” which can be seen from U.S. 30 traveling eastbound.
The mayor stated that he hopes that invitational meets will be held at the center next season.
