The John Glenn School Board members approved the hire of a new Urey Middle School Principal Tuesday night.
Gregg Goewert replaces Tresa Hammond who unexpectedly turned in her retirement notice last week. Superintendent Christopher Winchell has been the acting principal until the board’s approval of Goewert’s hire on Tuesday.
Goewert has been an educator since 1993 and has previous administration experience having been a Dean and Athletic Director, High School Assistant Principal and High School Head Principal. Goewert comes to the John Glenn School Corporation from Union County College Corner Joint School District in Liberty, Indiana.
