A residential recovery program and transitional residency facility for residents recovering from drug and alcohol addiction in Plymouth is open now on a limited basis.
David’s Courage accepted the first resident earlier this year. Officials there are currently accepting applications for men, but for now each resident must be able to provide private funding for programs until the certification process is complete.
Information released to the media on Tuesday revealed that once the facility is certified David’s Courage will be able to provide residents with services that qualify for insurance coverage. It goes on to say that a requirement prior to receiving certification and subsequent funding is running their programming for 12 months.
David’s Courage President Gregg Erickson stated that they are eager to get programs up and running, but have experienced several setbacks and unforeseen construction issues. He added that they’re all grateful for the community support and will continue in their pursuit to help those suffering with drug and alcohol addictions.
