The Culver Community School Board approved the hire of a new Communications Director and grant writer Monday night.
Superintendent Karen Shuman said Hanna Long will take over federal and state grant writing for the school corporation.
“We’re going to actively pursue other grants by going into each classroom and each building and determine what teachers’ needs are and then search for grants to write to meet those needs.”
Shuman mentioned that Long will also work to market the school corporation.
“She’ll write articles and communication that will be Tweeted out and put on Facebook and sent to other media sources as a direct line of communication in marketing Culver Schools.”
Long’s first day with the corporation will be Feb. 18.
