Bremen Town Council Updated on Upcoming Sewer Lateral Conditions

There won’t be much of a need to replace sewer laterals ahead of the Bremen downtown revitalization project this summer.

Jones, Petrie and Rafinski Engineer Ken Jones informed the Bremen Town Council on Monday that an initial look with sewer cameras found many of the aged lines in good shape.  The lining and manhole coatings will be done, but that can be done following the project.

The town was going to replace or reline many of the sewer laterals ahead of the project so they wouldn’t have to tear up the new pavement INDOT will install on Plymouth Street in July.

Wastewater Superintendent Matt Cunningham said when they look at more of the camera footage they will see if lines are abandoned.
