The Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety members opened three sealed bids for two new trucks for the Plymouth Street Department.
Wiers in Plymouth quoted a 2021 International cab and chassis with a trade-in value on a Ford F450 of $2,000 which makes the net price $47,521.
Oliver Ford Lincoln in Plymouth quoted a 2020 Ford F250 4X4 Super Cab at $32,556 with a trade-in value on a 1989 van of $500 with the net cost $32,056. The company also submitted a quote for a 2020 Ford F450 4X2 cab and chassis for $45,315 with a trade-in allowance on a 2005 Ford 450 of $5,000 for a net price of $40,315.
The last quote came from County Auto for a Dodge Ram 2500 crew cab 4X4 short bed pickup truck for $32,698 with a trade-in value on a 1989 Ford van of $500. They also submitted a quote for a Dodge Ram 4500 cab and chassis for $43,231 with a trade-in value on a 2005 Ford 450 of $4,500 for a net price of $38,731.
The bids were taken under advisement and a recommendation will be made at the board’s next meeting on Monday, Feb. 24.
