Plymouth School Board Approves Donations & Board Compensation

Over $9,000 worth of donations for the Plymouth High School were accepted by the School Board when members met on Tuesday.

First Source Bank and First Federal Savings Bank each donated $360 for the student and or teacher of the month. There was a $250 donation made to the band program, $229.41 to the speech program and $5,000 donated to athletics.

Additionally, $750 was donated to the Alternative School from the Beta-Delta Chapter of Tri-Kappa and the Marshall County Prosecutor’s Office donated $2,500 to cover a general-opioid speaker fee.

Overall, the school board accepted seven donations totaling $9,449.41.

In addition to accepting those donations, members approved compensation for the board members as well. It will remain the same as last year, at an annual rate of $2,000 per member.
