Plymouth Redevelopment Commission to Meet Tonight

The Plymouth Redevelopment Commission will get an update on the proposed Pioneer Drive project when they meet tonight.

The project is in the design phase.  Officials hope to improve drainage and widen a portion of Pioneer Drive to three lanes to accommodate an increase in truck traffic in that area north of U.S. 30 to 7B Road.  Preliminary plans are anticipated to be submitted in the next grant round of Community Crossings funds.  Lochmueller Group Project Manager Ryan Clark told the commission members last month that the preliminary cost is about $1.4 million, but he was going to look at how he could trim down that figure.

The commission members are also expected to discuss an upcoming manufacturing center project and approve the final payment for the River Gate South project.  An update on the Centennial Crossing project will be given.

The Plymouth Redevelopment Commission will meet at 5:30 p.m. tonight in the Plymouth Council Chambers room on the second floor of the Plymouth City Building at 124 N. Michigan Street.  Those planning to attend the meeting should enter the building through the Garro Street entrance.
