Plymouth Police Arrest Two on Drug Charges with Help from K9 Castor

A traffic stop conducted by Plymouth Police on Friday, January 24th resulted in two arrests.

Shortly before 4 p.m, police stopped a vehicle in the 2200 block of North Michigan St. in Plymouth.

K9 Castor reportedly indicated on the vehicle and as a result, 60-year-old Richard L. Dixon Jr., of South Bend, and 28-year-old Kayla A. Daugherty, of Bremen, were arrested and incarcerated in the Marshall County Jail.

According to the police report, Dixon was arrested for dealing in methamphetamine and possession of marijuana and Daugherty was arrested for possession of heroin and a controlled substance as well as illegal possession of a syringe. They are each facing a possession of paraphernalia charge as well.
