The Plymouth City Council members discussed an amendment to the 2020 Salary Ordinance when they met last week.
The amendment included adding Bill Walters as a member of the Board of Public Works and Safety as an unelected member. Walters was not re-elected to another four-year term on the city council in November’s Municipal General Election, but agreed to stay on as a member.
Mayor Mark Senter made the announcement that Walters agreed to continue as a member of the Board of Public Works and Safety as an unelected member during a December meeting. He further stated while City Council members currently serve on the Board of Public Works and Safety, it’s not required.
The city council members approved the amendment with a unanimous vote.
