The Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety members on Monday night considered an engineering proposal from Midwestern Engineers for the Centennial Crossings project.
Utility Superintendent Donnie Davidson said the services would be for the off-site work associated with the project.
“The project consists of approximately 1,100 feet of force main, a lift station, and multiple valves and connections of the force main,” said Davidson. “The project would start on the east side of the ditch along Plymouth-Goshen Road and travel west and connect to the lift station at the corner of Michigan and Plymouth-Goshen Road by the CVS.”
The contract would include $34,000 for design, $10,000 for construction engineering, $6,000 for bidding, and $5,000 for additional services which may point to acquisition of easements and surveying work. Inspection fees would be an additional cost, but Davidson said that would most likely be done in-house.
The off-site work is the responsibility of the city while any infrastructure work inside the property is the responsibility of the developer.
The contract was approved with a unanimous vote.
