One Person Injured in Traffic Accident in Plymouth

Plymouth Police Department officers investigated an accident Wednesday morning at the intersection of Oak Road and U.S. 30.

According to information released by the department, just before 5:30 a.m. 63-year-old Phil Conyers, of Knox, was stopped at a red light on Oak Road in his 2008 Chevrolet pickup when for unknown reasons he proceeded north through the intersection and was struck by an eastbound semi-truck driven by 63-year-old Michele Lonigro of Knox.  The driver of the semi-truck reportedly had the green light at the time of the accident.

Police say Conyers was transported from the scene by Plymouth EMS. 

The report indicated that both vehicles were towed from the scene. 

The Plymouth Police Department was assisted at the scene by Plymouth EMS, Plymouth Fire Department and the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department.
