The Marshall County Election Board will meet for the first time in 2020 today.
According to the tentative agenda, the board will reorganize, followed by discussion of candidacy filing and the list of office up for this year’s election, in addition to the security of equipment and Vote Centers. The Culver Vote Center and the Tippecanoe Vote Center are also noted as discussion items.
Clerk Deb VanDeMark said that elected officials who have not been sworn into office need to do so by the end of the month and have the Oaths of Office filed with her office by Jan 31.
A review of Help Americans Vote Act and the American Disabilities Act is also included on the tentative agenda.
Today’s Marshall County Election Board meeting begins at 8:30 a.m. in the Marshall County Clerk’s Office in the County Annex Building.
