John Glenn School Corporation Scheduled ELearning Day May be Bumped

While many school corporations are using today as an eLearning day due to the lack of snow make-up days, the John Glenn School Corporation’s planned eLearning day may be taken off the schedule, according to Superintendent Christopher Winchell.

“We had pre-planned an eLearning day for Feb. 17 as kind of our first-ever eLearning day, but that day will get bumped if there’s no need for inclement weather make-ups,” explained Winchell.  “Right now we have no days to make up, but I’m sure that will come.  It’ll just be interesting if how that interacts with that date we’ve set.”

John Glenn students currently don’t have eLearning available at the school, but a recent survey showed a favorable move to eLearning, should the board decide to move toward that aspect of technology.

ELearning is used at several school corporations as a tool used to allow students to be assigned homework with teacher assistance on a day where school is closed during inclement weather, among other needed days.
