The John Glenn School Board members discussed the purchase of a chiller for the Walkerton Elementary School Tuesday night.
Superintendent Christopher Winchell said an estimate of $112,200 from DA Dodd was recommended for the piece of equipment. The board members did approve the purchase as presented.
Winchell said the chiller is one of many items listed in a capital projects plan.
“We will be using our General Obligation bond monies to purchase that chiller, but that is something that’s been on our list of needs for some time,” commented Winchell.
Other projects in that plan include paving and roof repairs at John Glenn High School, Urey Middle School, Walkerton Elementary School, and North Liberty Elementary School, while work will be done on the Urey Middle School gymnasium floor.
