The Bremen Police Department will be looking to purchase new vehicles.
Bremen Police Chief Brad Kile asked the Bremen Town Council members for permission to gather quotes for two vehicles and trading in one vehicle.
Kile also asked for permission for four officers to attend out-of-state training in the Drug Interdiction Conference.
“It’s in Baltimore this year,” Kile stated. “It’s paid for by a total reimbursable grant as far as transportation, lodging, food, training materials, and all of that kind of stuff. The only thing that we’d be out is the officer’s time being away. We would pay for that.”
As part of that request, the officers would be allowed to take a town vehicle to travel to the conference.
Both requests were approved with a unanimous vote of the council.
