Campaign finance reports are due next week in the Marshall County Clerk’s Office.
Clerk Deb VanDeMark told the Marshall County Election Board members on Tuesday morning that anyone who was a candidate in the Municipal Election in 2019 and anyone with an annual report needs to submit that paperwork by Wednesday, Jan. 15 at noon.
“The penalty starts right at 12:01 p.m. at $50 a day if they are not in,” stated VanDeMark. “It’s up to the board to enforce that.”
She said if reports are not complete with dates or the correct information that’s obvious, they will be deemed defective and the Election Board can fine the candidate $10 a day.
