Bourbon Water Superintendent Discusses Meter and Generator Replacement With Council

Bourbon Water Superintendent Steve Stacy came before the Town Council with a few requests when they met for their first meeting of the year.

Draft minutes from the meeting indicate that Superintendent Stacy asked for permission to start pursuing financing options for the replacement of water meters from Utility Supply. He told officials the cost would be approximately $177,125.

Council members provided unanimous approval to allow Clerk-Treasurer Kim Berger to look into financing the project.

In addition to that request, Stacy asked to replace a 1950 building generator at the Utility/Street Department Building and stated that the expense was already budgeted for in plans for 2020. The Council also provided unanimous approval for that request.
