The newest member of the Bourbon Town Council, Ward Byers, was elected as president during the council’s first meeting of 2020.

In additional reorganization business, the council members were introduced to Alex Hoover from the Walter Law Office. According to draft minutes from the meeting, Hoover was appointed to the position of Town Attorney.

The council members also unanimously supported keeping all supervisory roles the same in 2020. That means Roger Terry will retain his position as Street Superintendent, Steve Stacy will serve as Water and Wastewater Superintendent and Bill Keyser still be the Town’s Zoning and Building Commissioner.

Additionally, Fire Chief Brandon Chapman and Police Chief Bill Martin will retain their roles.
