The Argos Town Council set their meeting schedule for 2020 when members met for their first meeting of the New Year.
According to Clerk-Treasurer Lisa Mullaney, the official Town Council meetings will typically occur on the first and third Wednesday of each month. They will be held at 7:30 p.m. ET in the Argos Municipal Building located at 201 West Walnut Street.
She mentioned that the council also included something new this year by; a public workshop will be held at 6:30 p.m. prior to the second meeting of the month.
During this set time, Mullaney said that community members will be able to come in and ask questions or provide comments and the council will have an opportunity to deliberate prior to the start of their official meeting.
The first workshop of the year will be held tonight at 6:30 p.m. and Mullaney noted that officials will be discussing a proposed contract extension with IMPA. It will be followed by the Town’s Cemetery Board meeting at 7 p.m. and then the regular meeting will begin at 7:30 p.m.
