Argos officials decided on the Town’s appointment for the Marshall County Unsafe Building Committee when they met earlier this month.
Clerk-Treasurer Lisa Mullaney reminded Town Council members that County Building Commissioner Chuck DeWitt previously shared some information about the Unsafe Building Committee and how they want to have representation from all Marshall County municipalities.
Mullaney provided the members with the dates for the meetings, noting that the Committee typically meets once a month at 9 a.m. She asked if anyone on the council was interested in the position and noted that she could do it if no one else could.
There were a few members who stated they were interested but that they’d have a conflict with work. A vote was cast to appoint Clerk-Treasurer Mullaney to the committee and there was no opposition.
Councilman Charles Randy Snead added that he is willing to attend as the Town’s representative if there are ever any meetings that Mullaney can’t make it to.
