A list of non-profit organizations interested in utilizing the B&R Building for free came before Argos Town Council members during their second meeting of the month.
Clerk-Treasurer Lisa Mullaney noted the same groups that used the facility free-of-charge in previous years are contacted on an annual basis to see if they’d like to continue using the building.
She presented the members with a list of the organizations that responded which included the Lions Club, Marshall County Homemakers, Girl Scout Troop 73 and Real Services.
Councilman Shawn Harley made a motion to allow the listed non-profits to use the building free of charge. His motion was successfully seconded and supported unanimously.
Clerk-Treasurer Mullaney stated that if any other non-profit organization asks for permission, that request will have to come before the council before they’ll be allowed to use the building for free.
