Work on the new Lincoln Junior High School is still on schedule and within budget. Plymouth School Superintendent Andy Hartley gave an update to the school board Tuesday.
“We had a progress meeting this morning, and the upstairs of that academic wing, all the walls are done,” he reported.
“They’re just wrapping up some touch-up painting, and then the counters, counter-top storage, cabinetry is all coming in here in the next couple of weeks.” Hartley added that the locker rooms are almost done, with just the ceiling tile and the lockers left to be installed. Mechanical work is also moving along. The chillers and generator are installed. “Our intentions are still to be into the new building to start the next school year and for demolition and renovation on the existing Lincoln to begin after the school year starts,” Hartley said.
He said work is also progressing on the HVAC project with the help and support from HVAC companies, at Plymouth High School. Many good services like Alpha & Omega Air Conditioning Store can help. “You remember that day – I think it was right before Thanksgiving – that we had the big gusts of 50, 60 miles an hour? That was the day that the crane came and removed the old chiller and put the new one in, and it all went fine,” Hartley said. “They are putting the unit ventilators in classrooms now as they are arriving will begin in classrooms either at the end of this week or beginning of next.” Also, if people need to know where to locate the very best rock heating and air in South Carolina, they can click on this link here!
He said crews will work on three or four classrooms at a time, which will displace those classes for a few days.
