South Bend Man Jailed Following Incident at Plymouth Hospital

A South Bend man is facing multiple charges after police reportedly had to take him into custody following an incident at the Plymouth Hospital.

Plymouth Police officers were dispatched to the hospital on Lake Avenue for a report of a male who was allegedly fighting with people shortly before 11: 15 p.m. on Wednesday, December 4th.  

When officers arrived on the scene, they reportedly discovered 30-year-old Zachary M. Stults in the parking lot. While attempting to place the suspect into custody, police say he began to resist law enforcement.

He was ultimately placed into custody and transported to the Marshall County Jail. According to the police report about the incident, upon further investigation, it was found that Stults apparently battered a hospital security guard.

He was charged with resisting law enforcement and battery as well as public intoxication and disorderly conduct.
