The Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety members will meet tonight to award bids for 2020 street materials and fuel supplies. Several bids were opened during their Dec. 9 meeting which were taken under advisement for tonight’s approval.
The board members will also revisit a resolution regarding paramedic assist services. Officials from the Town of Argos were concerned with a flat rate of $300 for ALS assistance and work was going to be done to consider other options.
The Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety will meet at 6 p.m. tonight followed by the Plymouth City Council meeting at 6:30 p.m.
A tax abatement public hearing is scheduled followed by the city council’s consideration of an ordinance that confirms the adoption of a declaratory resolution designating certain real estate to be within an Economic Revitalization Area for purposes of real property and personal property tax abatement for 2400 Walter Glaub for a Bomarko, Inc. expansion project.
The council will also consider adopting the fee schedule for the Department of Parks and Recreation on the second and third readings, and an amendment to the 2020 Salary Ordinance for an unelected member of the Board of Public Works and Safety. Mayor Mark Senter announced earlier this month that Bill Walters will continue to serve the city in his seat on the board even though he was not re-elected to serve on the Plymouth City Council.
Several appointments will also be discussed for the Plan Commission, Board of Zoning Appeals, Economic Development Commission and Redevelopment Commission.
Both meetings will be held in the Plymouth City Council Chambers Room on the second floor of the Plymouth City Building at 124 N. Michigan Street. Those planning to attend the meetings should use the Garro Street entrance.
