The John Glenn School Board members took time last week to review a service agreement with Go Solutions Group, Inc.
Superintendent Christopher Winchell informed the board members that this organization helps recoup hours worked connected to Medicaid-type services the school provides.
“That could be something like a nurse supporting a student with a certain medication or a certain medical need that they have,” explained Winchell. “It could also be a special education speech teacher who’s assisting a student with speech services. There is an opportunity for school corporations to recoup some monies from Medicaid in that regard.”
Officials with Go Solutions Group, Inc. will help fill out the necessary paperwork.
Winchell noted that the J.E.S.S.E. Special Education Consortium has a contract with the group, but finds it necessary that the school corporations participating in the consortium approve an agreement as well.
The school’s attorney reviewed the agreement and approved it as presented, as did the John Glenn School Board members during their meeting last week.
