The Marshall County Commissioners considered the Purdue Extension Services agreement last week.
Purdue Extension Marshall County Director Karen Richey said the budget was approved by the county council with a few reductions. The budget did increase about two or three percent. She explained that funding comes from the state and county. Purdue University typically pays health benefits and retirement.
The contractual services agreement between the county and Purdue University was unanimously approved by the commissioners in the amount of $114,500.
