The John Glenn School Board members discussed health insurance options for 2020 at their meeting this week.
Superintendent Christopher Winchell presented information to the board as recommended by the MASE Trust, along with Anthem Blue Cross/Blue Shield.
“We’re basically dictated our insurance rates from the MASE Trust,” explained Winchell. “We just feel it’s appropriate for the board to approve any salary or any benefits.”
The premium is set to increase about six percent, or an extra $500.
The school board members approved the insurance rate adjustment with a unanimous vote.
