The Culver Community Schools Corporation will soon have its own communications director. The school board approved the creation of the position during last week’s meeting, according to Superintendent Karen Shuman.
“My administrative secretary is retiring, so we’re adding a communication director and grant writer position in lieu of that position,” Shuman explains. “So that’s posted now on our website.”
Meanwhile, Shuman says the deputy treasurer will also add administrative office manager to her duties. “Right now, she’s currently a part-time position, and we’re going to move her to a full-time position managing the day-to-day operations here in the administrative office,” Shuman says. “So we awarded that to Eva Reinhold to become a full-time employee and be both the deputy treasurer and our office manager.”
Shuman says the restructuring was made possible by some other adjustments in employees’ duties throughout the school corporation.
