When Argos Town Council members met for their final meeting of the month, an update about an ongoing Argos Community Development Corporation (ACDC) housing project was delivered.
According to Clerk-Treasurer Lisa Mullaney, a home that is currently being built at the corner of Plum and Yearick Streets will be completed by mid-January. She noted that it is more than 1,100 square-feet, has three bedrooms, two bathrooms and a two-car garage.
The ACDC is currently looking for interested buyers and noted on their social media page that the asking price is $169,999.
The property is adjacent to the Argos Community School Corporation. In November of 2018, the school board approved the sale of several lots to allow ACDC to take on this housing project.
Then in August of this year, Town Council members took action to rezone the lots from business (B-1) to residential (R-1) so homes could be built in the area.
