A resolution amendment that was considered by the Argos Town Council back in November came back before members when they met for their first meeting of the month.
As a reminder, the Council was discussing the possibility of making the Economic Development Director the Town’s one point-of-contact for the Marshall County Economic Development Corporation.
The suggested change is intended to assist MCEDC President/CEO Jerry Chavez so that rather than having to go to each member of the Town Council or various Town officials, he can relay information to the Economic Development Director then it will get back to the necessary channels.
In order to add in this new responsibility, changes were made to the existing document related to the Economic Development Director position. Town Council members finalized the amendment with unanimous approval at last week’s meeting.
