The National Weather Service has issued a high wind warning for Wednesday. It will be in effect from 4:00 a.m. EST/3:00 a.m. CST to 9:00 p.m. EST/8:00 p.m. CST. Southwest winds of 30 to 40 miles per hour with gusts of up to 60 miles per hour are predicted.
The National Weather Service expects that trees and power lines will be blown down, and power outages are possible. Travel could be difficult for high-profile vehicles on north-south roads.
Residents are urged to avoid being around trees and branches. The National Weather Service also recommends staying in the lower levels of your home and away from windows during the windstorm.
