Marshall County’s Municipal General Election Includes Multiple Contested Races

Voters can expect to see a number of contested races during Marshall County’s Municipal General Election today.

For instance, incumbent Republican candidates Mark Senter and Jeanine Xaver will face off against Democrats Josh Walker and Cathy Huff Wraight for Plymouth Mayor and Clerk-Treasurer, respectively.  

There are also a few contested races when it comes to the Plymouth City Council. Republicans Greg Compton, Nick Fisher and Bill Walters as well as Democrats Jeff Houin, Robert Listenberger and Jim Vinall are going after the available Plymouth City Council at-large seats.

In addition to that, Democrat Alejandro Cortes and Republican Duane Culp are looking to represent District 1 while Democrat Shiloh Carothers Milner and Republican Linda Secor are interested in being the District 3 representative and Republican Randy Longanecker and Democrat Angie Rupchock-Schafer are competing to represent District 4.

There is also a contested race for the Culver Town Council’s at-large seats. Candidates include Libertarian Joel Samuelson, Democrat Rich West and Republicans Ginny Bess Munroe, Judy Price Reynolds and Sally Riccardi.

In the Town of Bourbon, Melissa Shawn Clanton (R) is running against incumbent candidate Kimberly Berger (D) for the Clerk-Treasurer’s position. Additionally, Lorrain Dove (D) and Wendy Birk(R) will be gathering votes for Clerk-Treasurer of La Paz.

All registered residents can cast their vote at any of the County’s vote centers any time between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m.  Tune into MAX98.3 FM after the polls close for election updates.
