Snow showers put a damper on leaf collection efforts for several local street departments.
Plymouth Street Superintendent Jim Marquardt, Bremen Street, Bremen Town Council, Bremen Water Storm Water and Street Superintendent Alex Mikel, and Culver Utility Superintendent Bob Porter told local leaders that crews will be around with dump trucks and payloaders to pick up piles of leaves left for them to collect in the next few days.
Once the snow clears, leaf vac machines will continue to be used to pick up any remaining leaf piles through the first of December. In some cases, repairs to the equipment are being made before work continues.
