The John Glenn School Board members reviewed the proposed teacher contract during their Wednesday meeting.
As previously reported, Superintendent Christopher Winchell noted that the biggest change in the contract was the increase in the base salary for all teachers in the amount of $2,300. A 12 percent increase was also recommended for coaches or sponsors in Extra Curricular Activities.
A number of other recommendations were presented in the tentative agreement including retirement, higher education requirements for dual credit courses, and teacher evaluation compensation and longevity pay, among others.
The John Glenn School Board members approved the proposed teacher contract as presented. The agreement is posted on the corporation’s website for review.
