Residents will soon be getting a recap of the Culver Community Schools Corporation’s accomplishments over the past year. Superintendent Karen Shuman says the school board approved a year-in-review mailer on Monday.
“It’s just a little flier that talks about how we have created a new full-time assistant principal position at the high school, moved Mr. [Mike] Zehner to the full-time athletic director, that we have added computer science, STEM, and aviation programming within the school corporation,” Shuman explains. The mailer will also highlight recent teacher raises, staff benefit upgrades, and a new pay scale for bus drivers.
Shuman says it will cost the school corporation $1,500 to send out 5,000 mailers. They should arrive in mailboxes by the end of the month.
