Bremen Park Superintendent Brian Main asked the town council members Tuesday afternoon for permission to seek quotes for two upcoming projects.
He explained that there are two trees located by south side of the tennis courts that are in bad shape and need to be removed. The problem is the trees are in between power lines and they’re in close proximity of the fence by the tennis courts.
Main said he’s gotten a quote from one tree removal company and warned that it will be pricy given the location circumstances.
In another project, Main wants to replace the roof on the concession stand at the Varsity Softball Field. A fundraiser fell through for the project, and money wasn’t budgeted in the budget to replace the roof. Main asked the council to approve payment of the roof replacement out of the non-reverting fund which the council approved with a unanimous vote. Main said he’ll obtain quotes for the project.
