Ypsilanti Man Accused of Drug Possession, Following Marshall County Traffic Stop

An Ypsilanti man was arrested in Marshall County Friday, after police say they found drugs during a traffic stop. Marshall County Police say they pulled over a vehicle for erratic driving and an equipment violation shortly before 4:00 a.m. near U.S. 31 and 14C Road.

A police K9 reportedly alerted officers to the presence of drugs. When they searched the vehicle, police say they found a small amount of what they suspect to be methamphetamine, marijuana, a substance classified as a legend drug, and drug paraphernalia.

The suspect, 40-year-old Cory Douglas Torrans, was also reportedly found to be wanted on a felony warrant out of Michigan. Officers say he had a suspended license, as well.

Torrans was taken to the Marshall County Jail on suspicion of various drug possession offenses, along with false informing.
