A South Bend woman died in a crash in Plymouth Tuesday afternoon.
Marshall County Coroner John Grolich said 44-year-old Dorcas H. Figueroa was pronounced dead at the scene.
Marshall County police say Figueroa’s car was traveling north on Plymouth-Goshen Trail shortly after 2 p.m. when it was hit by a semi truck headed east on U.S. 30. Authorities say a passenger in the vehicle remains in ICU at South Bend Memorial Hospital. A family pet is in the care of the Marshall County Humane Society.
The crash remains under investigation with the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department. Officers were assisted at the scene by the Plymouth Police Department, Plymouth Fire Department and EMS, Indiana Department of Transportation, and Lyon’s Towing.
