School Improvement Plans Presented to Plymouth School Board

The 2019-2020 school improvement plans were presented to the Plymouth School Board last week. Assistant Superintendent Jill VanDriessche said this year’s plans recognize the importance of collaboration in making sure children have amazing futures.

“These plans are more reflective of looking beyond singular pieces of data, versus looking at the whole child and how we can best serve our students for their future,” she said.

VanDriessche explained that each year, principals work with parents, community members, and their staffs to identify areas for improvement. “The annual review process keeps us current in focus, but it also allows us to look at what we need to do differently but also to really look at what we’re doing well and how to implement that in other areas to be, overall, successful.”
