Argos School Board Approves Final Pay App for Roof Replacement Project

The major reroofing project that was being conducted for the Argos Community School Corporation is now complete.

Superintendent Ned Speicher said school board members were able to approve the final pay application for that project when they met Monday night.

While the roof replacement is all complete, work continues off-site on the solar energy portion of the project.

Speicher said the panels and other elements are currently being constructed. He added that some payments related to the assembling process are expected to come before the school board for approval over the next few months.

Superintendent Speicher mentioned that they have a storage area prepared to keep the equipment out of the elements once it’s delivered. He noted that a stress test has been done on the roofs and it passed so it will be ready for installation in the spring.
