The Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety members will choose a contractor to demolish the old Clarke station at 400 E. Jefferson Street when they meet tonight.
The bids were from Langfeldt Excavation, LLC with a bid of $12,300 and Jackson Demolition Services, LLC with a bid of $14,900.
In other business tonight, City Attorney Sean Surrisi will present an intergovernmental agreement for approval regarding the Quality of Life plan and the Marshall County Crossroads Regional Stellar Communities Designation Initiative.
Several road closure requests will be considered for various community events and department heads will present updates on various projects.
The Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety will meet at 6 p.m. tonight followed by the Plymouth City Council meeting.
The Plymouth City Council members will consider the second and third readings of an ordinance regarding solar permit fees for the city, and review a resolution surrounding a request to designate certain real estate to be within an Economic Revitalization Area for the purposes of real and personal property tax abatement for AK Industries. A resolution concerning an application from The Pilot News for a Commercial Revitalization Rebate Program Grant is also on tonight’s agenda.
Both meetings will be held in the council chambers room on the second floor of the Plymouth City Building at 124 N. Michigan Street. Those wanting to attend the meetings are asked to use the Garro Street entrance.
