A public hearing on the Culver Community Schools’ Corporation’s proposed teacher contract drew no comments Monday, according to Superintendent Karen Shuman. She says the tentative 2019-2020 agreement has no major changes from previous years’.
The starting wage for new teachers is $34,500. Teachers rated “effective” or “highly effective” would be eligible for a $1,200 raise, under the salary schedule, with a maximum possible salary of $66,200.
The contract is expected to be up for the board’s final approval on October 21.
