A resolution that would authorize the transfer of money from the Education Fund to the Operation Fund was considered by the John Glenn School Board members last week.
Business Manager Tom Bendy explained that the board is presented with this resolution every quarter. The resolution allows Bendy to transfer $175,001 monthly from the Education Fund to the Operations Fund from now until Dec. 31, 2019 to reimburse the Operations Fund for expenses not allocated to student instruction and learning.
“These transfers at the end of the year will bring us up to $1.8 million for 2019,” said Bendy. “If you go way back to when we budgeted a year ago we projected $1.9 million so we’re actually transferring $100,000 less than what we had put in the budget to do.”
The resolution passed with a unanimous vote.
